Celebrating Flag Day in Three Village

Students across the Three Village Central School District celebrated Flag Day on June 14. Several elementary schools held buildingwide ceremonies to honor “Old Glory” and learn about the American flag’s history. Celebrations were filled with student-performances of patriotic songs including the National Anthem, “America the Beautiful,” and “You’re a Grand Old Flag.” The ceremonies also recognized veterans and active military members within the Three Village community. Students were eager to pay respect to the flag and the meaning behind its stars and stripes.

Collaborative Planting & Printing Project

Fifth graders at Minnesauke Elementary School recently completed a 3D printing project that was truly a collaborative effort. Students learned how to design their own planters using Tinkercad in library class with Ms. Kinsley. Next, classes visited the Emma S. Clark Library to learn about the library's seed program and pick their own seed packet. Students then planted the seeds in science lab with Ms. DeSantis. Lastly, Mrs. Sacco taught students how to make beautiful macrame plant hangers for their creations in art class.
